They delivered a working store, but a lot of the optimisation felt like small, surface changes.
The cybersecurity audit they sent looked templated and missed obvious configuration problems. Support was polite but painfully slow for their rate I expected proper expertise and faster follow-up. Two stars because the store runs, but be prepared to pay extra for real fixes.

Gloross set up my Shopify site quickly and the standard features work fine. However custom integrations (a bespoke plugin and some API work) took longer than quoted and needed refinement afterwards. They weren’t rude and did complete the job, but if your project is complex expect to oversee the details closely. Mid-range option if you want a functioning store fast.

They marketed a full performance overhaul and a security review neither felt thorough. Pages still load slowly, and the custom checkout tweaks created edge-case errors. After paying the final invoice their tone changed: replies became transactional and fixes were billed as extras. Decent at basic setups, but not for anyone who needs reliable engineering.

I went with Gloross because they claimed to have strong technical expertise in Shopify including custom plugins and performance optimisation. Sadly, that wasn’t the case. Their developers struggled with even basic plugin integration, and the custom features they built were buggy and unreliable.
Communication was fine at the start, but once the payment was made, everything slowed down. Deadlines kept shifting, and I had to chase them for every update. For the price they charge, I expected a proper agency, not amateur freelancers pretending to be one. Wouldn’t recommend unless you enjoy micro-managing your own project.

Be careful, because Gloross markets itself as a US-based Shopify agency, but it turns out they’re actually operating from Bulgaria. That’s not a problem by itself, but they use it to appear more “premium” and charge higher US rates. Communication was poor, time zones didn’t match, and the final store looked rushed and incomplete. I had to pay another freelancer to fix the issues. I wish I’d done more research before hiring them.

I hired Gloross to build a custom Shopify store for my small clothing brand. At first, they seemed professional and responsive, but once I paid the deposit, everything went downhill. The site they delivered was clearly a cheap theme from the Shopify marketplace, barely modified. No proper optimisation, broken mobile layout, and they ignored half of the feedback I sent. When I asked for fixes, they said it would be an "extra service". Totally not worth the money. Avoid if you expect real development work.

Gloross pitched themselves as a top-tier US agency with expertise in Shopify cybersecurity audits and advanced integrations. In reality, I got a very average experience. The site audit they delivered was generic half of it copied from free online tools and the performance issues they promised to fix are still there.
They took over a month longer than promised, and their tone completely changed after I paid. Very transactional, no follow-up, no real accountability. The end result works, but it’s nowhere near the premium quality they advertise. Two stars just because the store technically runs otherwise, it’d be one.

I hired Gloross for a full Shopify rebuild and paid a sizable deposit. After that the communication slowed to a crawl and the custom plugins they provided were riddled with bugs. Their promised security checks were superficial we still had issues that another developer had to remove and fix. Costly and stressful experience; won’t use them again.

Gloross handled my Shopify migration and overall I’m satisfied. Their communication was solid, they explained each step clearly, and deadlines were mostly met. The design wasn’t groundbreaking, but technically everything worked as promised - clean code, no downtime, and fast deployment. There’s room for improvement in post-launch support, but for the price I’d say it was a good experience.

The demo site looked promising, but the finished product was clearly rushed: layout breaks on mobile, half-baked plugin features, and minimal QA. Their “bug fixes” were patchy and I had to hire a local developer to make the store production-ready. For advertised premium prices, this was unacceptable.

Gloross promised to build a "high-converting, optimised" Shopify store with advanced SEO and page speed improvements. What I got was the opposite - slow loading times, missing product filters, and poor design consistency. After checking with another developer, I found out it was just a pre-made template with minor colour edits. Their marketing is misleading, and their so-called “experts” don’t seem to know Shopify beyond basic setup. Disappointing experience overall.
